1925 July :The Japan Branch office of GETZ BROS. & CO., INC., of California, United States, is established.
1949 Apr. :The Foodstuffs, Textiles, Plywood, and Grocery divisions are formed to boost the branch's function as an import and sales organization.
1974 Dec. :The branch launches sales of lithium-cell-powered pacemakers, becoming the first to import those into Japan.
1979 Apr. :Import and sales of mechanical heart valves begin.
1980 Aug. :The office moves to the current Minami-Aoyama address in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
1981 Feb. :The branch becomes a member of The Marmon Group, along with the parent company.
1982 Mar. :PTCA, a therapeutic method for ischemic heart disease, is introduced.
1985 June :The branch office streamlines its merchandise line, specializing in medical devices.
1987 June :Japanese operations are incorporated as GETZ BROS. CO., LTD.
1989 Aug. :GETZ BROS.' shares registered on the over-the-counter market of the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
1992 Jan. :The Technical Education Center is established, the only multipurpose facility in the industry.
2002 Dec. :The registration of the GETZ BROS.' shares on the over-the counter market is revoked due to the establishment of a holding company by share transfer.
2003 Apr. :GETZ BROS. joins St. Jude Medical, lnc.
2007 July :Name changes to St. Jude Medical Japan Co., Ltd.
