Dr. Tomomi Koizumi

Dr. Tomomi Koizumi received his M.D. from Yamaguchi University School of Medicine, Japan in 1993. He completed post-graduate clinical training at Tsukuba University Hospital and its related hospitals in Japan. He entered Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan in 1998 and received his Ph.D. in 2002. After working at the Center for Cardiovascular Interventions in Chiba University Hospital for over a year, he has worked at the Center for Research in Cardiovascular Interventions at Stanford University from June 2003, as the 6th postdoctoral fellow supported by the Stanford - St. Jude Medical Scholarship Program. His research interests include qualitative evaluation of intravascular ultrasound images and new device development in the field of interventional cardiology.
